Did you know when you file for divorce, there is a 6 month waiting period. I guess you have time to change your mind? I dunno. There are lots of things that need to be worked out before hand. Mediation is one, this determines shared timed with the kids. The parents work out the details with a mediator and once there is an agreement it is documented in court. If the parents can't work out an agreement the a judge decides... is that what you really want?? Then there is division of assets. All this gets worked out and a judgment is entered; parties sign, judge signs, all done. Unfortunately for me, a trial has been request by "the respondent". Despite the fact that we have a mediation agreement and have divided our assets already! A waste of time and money if you ask me... just get on with your life already!
